From solo visits to docent-led group and school tours, the Castle Air Museum is the perfect venue to immerse yourself in military aviation history.



Hours are: Open Daily 9 AM to 4 PM with last admission to the aircraft exhibit area sold at 3:15 PM. During inclement weather please call ahead of your planned visit.

VC-9 Presidential Aircraft open for tours every Saturday and Sunday, weather permitting between 10 AM and 2:30 PM.


Castle Air Museum is located at 5050 Santa Fe Drive, Atwater, California, 95301, in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley, adjacent to Castle Airport. Drive time is approximately one hour from Fresno, two hours from Sacramento, and three hours from San Francisco.

Northbound Highway 99: Exit Merced-Atwater Expressway. Left on Green Sands and right onto Buhach Road. Travel approximately 1 1/2 miles to Santa Fe Drive. The Museum will be on your left after crossing the Railroad tracks.

Southbound Highway 99: Exit Atwater-Merced Expressway and proceed to Green Sands. Make a left turn onto Green Sands and proceed to Buhach Road. Make a right turn onto Buhach Road and travel approximately 1 1/2 miles to Santa Fe Drive.

Upon crossing the railroad tracks make a left turn onto Santa Fe Drive and the Castle Air Museum entrance will be on your left.

Active & Retired Military members (with I.D.): $20.00

NOTE: Entrance Fees do not include VC-9 tours. VC-9 tours are an additional $10 per person.


Group Tour Rates available only by pre-register notice.

Group/School Tours constitute a minimum of 15 individuals. Student-to-Chaperone ratio: 10:1. No Chaperones free. Any Challenged groups (Kingsview, etc.) can receive the Youth group rate and adults pay adult price.
